As A Reminder
-All Artist must be 18 or older
-No artworks shall include profanity, nudity, acts of violence, or political views.
-This event does not have road closures. Please park responsibly.
-The event will have a 4’wide x 2’high art board for each artist to complete/ create on the spot/ finish.
-We are not held accountable for any missing items, illnesses, or unforeseen measures; minor or major.
Finders Compensation
If an artist finds another artist to join, and that artist states they “heard about the festival” in the application by submitting their name, the artist will receive a finders compensation the day of the festival. Only one name can be added to the section (if multiple names are included, we will only choose the first name).
Promotions
-Each artist will be featured on multiple social media outlets with photos of their work, short videos displaying several of their pieces, and on TygerB.com’s community page. Promotions will happen frequently.
-Other promotional opportunities will be available as I have contacted businesses around Philadelphia, to showcase works created at the festival. (No works created at the festival will be for sale. My goal is to allow the works to cross as many eyes as possible, and to allow the artist to have more connection to art lovers in the city.) With that being said, each location will select the piece/s they feel fits their facility best. This is something to keep in mind as you create your work. The day of the event can lead more possible people to be interested in your work, by receiving additional promotion for the following weeks.
Day Of Event
-We recommend that all artist bring a chair for themselves, and a table that can fit within an 8' spacing. Seating will be limited. We will not provide extra sitting or chairs once we have run out.
-We recommend that all artist have a friend/ assistant to help them throughout the event; so that each artist can complete their live artwork.
-Please bring several snacks and lots of water. A food truck will be present for part of the event.
-We recommend that each individual brings a hat, and maybe an umbrella, to provide additional shading. We don’t know if it’s gonna be cloudy that day, and we want to make sure that you don’t get overheated.
-We recommend that each artist brings several of their artworks to have on display. Showcase your creativity and artistic eye. There are no limits on the number of pieces you could bring, but it must fit within your spacing, and not overlap with another artist, or exceed the range provided. Fixtures are allowed, but tents and canopies are not. All fixtures must stand on their own. With that being said, please prepare for any possible gust of wind, and make sure your material/artwork has a stable setting.
LiabilityWe are not held liable for any belongings, lost materials, misplaced apparatuses, injuries, or illnesses of and magnatude. In addition, we recommend that each artist has liability insurance. We are not held accountable for any unforeseen possible medical situations; minor or extreme. In the case that any of the listed/above situations are to happen, TygerB.com, staff/ assistants/ interns/ and associates of TygerB.com (including owner, and or sponsors), and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation will not be held liable under any circumstances.
The following must be upheld, by each artist:
-All artist agree to promote themselves.
-All artists agree to manage their own property.
-All artists agree to treat all property they’ll be using with respect and caution. Keeping the ground/ area clear of any paint.
-All artists acknowledge that TygerB.com, all staff of TygerB.com, and the venue/ location, are not held accountable for any damages, missing items, or injuries to any artist or their property; and should be properly ready for any of these situations.-All artists agree to return all items lent to them, including any given paints, cloths, pens and brushes.
-All artists must be considerate and cautious of the guests, staff, and space. No harm or negativity shall be taken lightly. If any artist, or their work, injures a guest, the staff, or the space, that artist alone is held responsible for the damages and repercussions of their actions.
-If an artist brings an assistant, that assistant should be aware that all of the above, applies to them as well. All artists are held accountable for their assistants, and the actions of thier assistants, and should be ready to take on repercussions if any issues present themselves.
Additional reminders in regulations with Philadelphia Parks and Recreations.
Philadelphia’s Parks and Recreation services / locations does not allow the following:
-Parking or driving on grass (Failure to comply will result in the issuance of citations).
-Fastening or attaching any rope, sign, banner, flyer or other object to any tree, shrub, or natural amenity. which includes spikes to the grass or ground.
-The use of aerial or above ground video or photo equipment.
-No corporate advertisements or logos promoting alcohol products, tobacco products, or adult entertainment.
-No tobacco or alcohol product may be used on any land or facility under the jurisdiction of PPR.
-No hanging and or display any type of signage including website address, social media handles, links, QR codes, banners and or equipment in JFK Plaza during the event. (Your "@" information will already be on your mural board. All name signs, price signs, web addresses, emails, and or logos can be handed out via a business card, or airdrop to anyone interested party. If someone is interested in aquiring some of your displayed work, you can have this information on your phone. Your area can not display this listed information on your tables or mural board. This is a direct statement from Philadelphia’s Parks and Recreation. )
